BIO
Stacey Scott dedicated her life to Christ at a young age and has been using her gift of song to touch and inspire people since the age of 3. Born and raised in Central Nyack NY, she began singing in local churches and community choirs. Stacey received her vocal training singing gospel music, harmonizing and traveling with her family, the Brooks Family Gospel Singers. As one of the lead singers of the group, which consisted of her mother, two brothers, and two sisters, she helped write and arrange original songs.
Stacey’s greatest influencer was her mother, the late Dr. Victory Brooks, a pioneer of gospel music in Rockland County NY, and former rhythm and blues singer. Stacey learned the importance of putting God first in everything, and to sing from the heart. She has lent her powerful vocals singing background, doing studio work, and singing on many programs, such as Showtime at the Apollo. She has also led and trained praise and worship teams for more than 20yrs. Throughout the years she has had many opportunities to sing secular music. However, Stacey refuses to compromise and continues to use her gift to glorify God.
She is a wife of 38yrs, mother of 5, grandmother of 8, a singer, songwriter, ordained minister, Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, Lymphedema Therapist, and the proud owner of Custom Fit Therapeutic Massage. Stacey currently resides in Birmingham Alabama where she released her First single titled, “You Showed Me.” Stacey wrote, arranged, and sang all vocals, and the song was produced by her brother, David Brooks, aka “DPB.” You Showed Me, was on the Gospel Urban influencer charts for 13 weeks reaching the number 3 spot. The song is available on all digital platforms. Stacey continues to write songs to help others and plans to release new material soon. Stacey’s heart’s desire is for her songs to be heard all around the world, not just to entertain, but to encourage, inspire change, and direct people to God!
